With over 16 years of experience in the archery industry and more than 25 years working with children in educational and nature-based settings, Dee Sacchetti brings a unique blend of skill, heart, and hands-on experience to every archery class she leads.
 

Dee’s passion for archery began in childhood, growing up in Rhode Island alongside her father — an avid outdoorsman and bowhunter. Weekends were spent exploring the woods, fishing, and visiting the local archery shop, where she first learned to appreciate the discipline and focus of the sport. That early connection to nature and adventure helped shape not only her love of archery, but her lifelong commitment to outdoor education.

Dee went on to build a career in Early Childhood Education, working as a preschool teacher across several centers in Massachusetts. She later became a Teacher/Naturalist, where she created a nature-based learning program designed for preschool-aged children. Through sensory-based activities, indoor and outdoor exploration, and imaginative play, Dee encouraged children to connect deeply with the natural world. She continues this work today as a Forest Teacher who teaches children in an outdoor, nature-based setting rather than a traditional classroom.

In 2013, Dee combined her passions and launched a summer archery camp in Middleboro, MA. The camp offered children hands-on archery instruction while emphasizing safety, confidence-building, muscle memory, and concentration. Campers advanced from blank bale shooting to paper targets, balloon pop challenges, and eventually to 3D field targets. Days were rounded out with nature hikes, fishing, and team-building activities — all designed to build community and outdoor skills.
